Food Bazaar is now open at the Carlstadt Commons on Paterson Avenue in Carlstadt.
The Carlstadt Stop & Shop was one of 32 underperforming stores in New Jersey set to close by year's end.
Food Bazaar markets itself as "one of the leading, privately owned, ethnic supermarkets in the northeast," devoting several aisles to both international and mainstream groceries.
Most stores have a full-service fish market and custom-cutting meat department, the Food Bazaar website says.
Food Bazaar of Carlstadt is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
